The 12th Annual HARDHEADS Bolivar RIG RUN is just 10 weeks away. Registration is now open for the August 15th event, and organizers are preparing for another exciting day on the water supporting the Bolivar Point Lighthouse Foundation.

The Buccaneer shrimp boat, stranded on Crystal Beach for nearly two weeks, has officially been freed and returned to the Gulf after a large community-supported recovery effort.

Stone crabs are an important part of the Gulf ecosystem, helping maintain balance in our bays and nearshore waters. Known for their powerful claws and unique ability to regenerate them, these fascinating creatures are a reminder that every walk along the beach can reveal something new about the natural beauty and resilience of the Texas coast.

Join Bolivar Peninsula Vision on June 16, 2026, for a free Community Education Series presentation, "Senior Freedom: Unlocking Home Equity in Retirement." National reverse mortgage expert Loren Riddick and local mortgage professional Bruce Cline will discuss how reverse mortgages work, retirement planning strategies, and ways seniors can utilize home equity. Lunch will be provided. The event takes place from Noon to 1:30 PM at the F.O.E. Eagles in Crystal Beach.

Beachy Beatnik Boutique & Jewelry hosted a fantastic Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Member Mixer, bringing together local businesses, residents, and community supporters for an evening of networking, shopping, and great food. Guests enjoyed award-winning brisket by Danny Ducote, Mama Mout's famous sides, and exciting door prizes while supporting a valued local business. Texas Crab Festival Celebrates Another Successful Year on Bolivar Peninsula
The Texas Crab Festival once again brought thousands of visitors to Bolivar Peninsula for a weekend of seafood, live music, shopping, family fun, and community celebration. The annual event showcased the best of our coastal community while providing a significant economic boost to local businesses, restaurants, vacation rentals, and attractions.

The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce congratulates the Texas Crab Festival organizers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, entertainers, and attendees for another successful event. The festival continues to be one of the peninsula's premier traditions, helping promote tourism, support local businesses, and celebrate the unique spirit of Bolivar Peninsula.
